London’s largest Latin carnival in the Park is back this July 01 and it promises the best yet. Prepare to put your dancing shoes on for 5 hours of non stop partying, cocktail drinking, dancing and lots more, in the heart of South London. Now in its’ third year Latin Splash is London’s most famous tropical party celebrating the vibrancy and flavour of Latin music and dance. This summer the festival organisers have kept the infectious vibe of 2004 by combining some of the biggest names in Salsa with artists that are pushing the boundaries of Latin music into the mainstream.
Recent Grammy award winners Spanish Harlem Orchestra from NYC need little introduction to those in the know and are a live act that are not easily surpassed nowadays, alone they are more than worth the admission price. However they will be ably supported by top UK salsa band Alex Wilson’s R&B Latino Project an outfit who as the name suggests fuse the R&B and salsa genres to mind blowing effect
Also on the bill are top dance troupes Tropical Gem from Milan and Swing Latino from Colombia. Plus as usual there will be indoor parties in the Salsa UK, Barcardi B-Bar, Strongbow and Hed Candi Arenas.
